Ambassador Korhan Kemik was born in 1975 in Bursa.

He received his undergraduate degree in International Relations from Marmara University.

He speaks English and German.

He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1998.

At the headquarters of the Ministry, he worked at the Research and Publications Department (Candidate Diplomat), Deputy Directorate General for Caucasus and Central Asia (Attaché), Deputy Undersecretariat for General Political Affairs (First Secretary), Deputy Directorate General for the Middle East (Head of Department), Deputy Directorate General for Asia Pacific (Head of Department), and Deputy Directorate General for East Asia (Deputy Director General).

Overseas, he served at the Turkish Embassy in Nairobi (Third Secretary), Turkish Embassy in Tel Aviv (Second Secretary), Turkish Permanent Representation to the OSCE (Counsellor), and the Turkish Consulate General in Hong Kong (Consul General).

He is married and has two children.
